YOUth in Motion is our brand of ESF Connect Youth, delivered by The Bytes Project and funded through the Department for Employment and Learning and the Northern Ireland European Social Fund Programme, to specifically help Core NEET Young People between 16-25 into Sustainable Employment.

At the centre of our delivery, is an array of recognised accredited qualifications, which provide young people with the essential tools to progress in an ever changing labour market.

The YIM team are always researching new ways to deliver a range of highly engaging projects. This means that we continue to devise imaginative ways of encouraging learning along with social and personal development.

Driven by innovation a legacy of over 20 years of experience, The Bytes Project strives to ensure that this project, like a host of others it also operates, effectively meets the true needs of young people.

All our participants get the opportunity to get involved in projects that are both relevant and provide a balance of educational stimulation, while being an inclusive and very informal learning environment.

We deliver OCN Level One qualifications and offer an upgrade to a Level Two dependent on need. All our projects and qualifications are designed to promote emphasis on building job seeking behaviours.

  • Law & Order

  • ‘Take Charge’ ((Improving Assertiveness and Decision Making)

  • ‘Get That Job (Preparation for Work)

  • ‘@WORK (Work Experience)

  • Mentoring Support Programme

An important part of our projects is what young people gain from participating in our themed residential events and activities that serve as a reward for their personal accomplishments.

We provide an optional mentoring service which is offered to all our

participants. This forms an important part of our work and allows to better meet individual needs.  Young people frequently lack experience which can inhibit their chances of gaining employment. With our supported Work Experience programme we provide an opportunity to try out a job for a few days and get a sense of what it is to be in a working environment.
